Spring Break in Red River and Day Trip to Taos

For the past 22 years I have been visiting Taos, NM off and on primarily for fly fishing. The streams and rivers around the area are truly remarkable and Taos holds a special place in my heart. It’s my favorite place to visit. For Spring Break this year we loaded the whole family up and headed to Red River so they could all snowboard while Jill and I spent time watching them from the Lift House and taking a couple of days to head into Taos to show her around. There was shopping, eating and walking and it couldn’t have been a better time. The one thing I wanted to do while in Taos was to head over to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge area and get some landscape shots. Now.. if you follow me and my photography you know I am not a landscape guy but I do love shooting beautiful areas but once again I don’t proclaim to be a landscape photographer. But… I don’t think my images turned out too bad. I tried to give them a really dark moody look to them which was how the day actually turned out to be with it being incredibly overcast with moments of sunshine. Give me your thoughts on what I came up with.
